Ceramic Coating Warranty & Aftercare Policy

1. Warranty Coverage

Grit2Gloss provides a warranty on selected ceramic coating packages, subject to the terms below.

The warranty covers:

Failure of the ceramic coating to bond correctly

Premature degradation of hydrophobic performance (under normal use)

Significant loss of gloss directly attributable to coating failure

Warranty duration:

1 year / 3 years / 5 years depending on package

The warranty applies only to the original vehicle owner and is non-transferable.

2. What the Warranty Does Not Cover

This warranty does NOT cover:

  • Scratches, swirl marks, or wash damage

  • Stone chips or impact damage

  • Environmental damage (bird droppings, tree sap, industrial fallout if left untreated)

  • Automatic car wash damage

  • Improper maintenance

  • Neglect or misuse

  • Accidents or vandalism

  • Mechanical or paint defects unrelated to coating application

Ceramic coatings enhance protection — they do not make the vehicle scratch-proof, dent-proof, or damage-proof.

3. Owner Responsibilities

To maintain warranty validity, the vehicle owner must:

  • Avoid automatic brush car washes

  • Use pH-neutral car shampoo

  • Follow correct wash techniques (two-bucket method recommended)

  • Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive products

  • Remove bird droppings and contaminants promptly

  • Attend any recommended maintenance inspections (if required)

Failure to maintain the vehicle correctly may void the warranty.

4. Maintenance Recommendations

For optimal performance, we recommend:

  • Safe hand washing every 2–4 weeks

  • Annual inspection or maintenance detail

  • Professional decontamination when required

  • Avoiding drive-through car washes

Grit2Gloss offers maintenance packages to preserve coating performance.

5. Environmental Considerations

The durability of ceramic coatings can be affected by:

  • Frequent motorway driving

  • Harsh winter road salt

  • Poor washing techniques

  • Long-term outdoor storage

Longevity may vary depending on use and care.

6. Warranty Claims

If you believe the coating has failed:

Contact Grit2Gloss immediately.

Provide photos and details.

The vehicle must be inspected by us in person.

If a legitimate failure is confirmed, we will reapply the affected area at no additional labour cost.

The warranty does not include compensation beyond the cost of the original coating service.

7. Limit of Liability

Grit2Gloss’s liability under this warranty shall not exceed the original invoice value of the ceramic coating service.

8. Acceptance of Terms

By purchasing a ceramic coating service from Grit2Gloss, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to this Warranty & Aftercare Policy.
