1. About Us

These Terms & Conditions govern the services provided by Grit2Gloss (“we”, “us”, “our”), a mobile vehicle detailing and ceramic coating specialist based in Seaton Delaval, United Kingdom.

By booking our services, you agree to the following terms.

2. Bookings & Payment

A booking is confirmed once agreed via message, email, or phone.

We may require a deposit to secure certain services (particularly ceramic coatings or correction packages).

Full payment is due upon completion of the service unless otherwise agreed.

We reserve the right to charge late payment fees where applicable.

Accepted payment methods:  bank transfer, cash.
 

3. Cancellations & Deposits

Cancellations within 48 hours of the booking may result in loss of deposit.

If we are unable to complete work due to unsafe conditions, restricted access, or undisclosed vehicle condition, we reserve the right to reschedule or retain part of the deposit.

Severe weather may require rescheduling for mobile services.
 

4. Vehicle Condition & Pre-Existing Damage

Customers must inform us of:

  • Existing paint damage

  • Re-sprayed panels

  • Loose trim or badges

  • Electrical faults

  • Interior damage
     

Grit2Gloss is not liable for:

  • Pre-existing damage

  • Worsening of previously failing paintwork

  • Issues caused by poor prior repairs

  • Stone chips, deep scratches, or lacquer failure
     

We may document vehicle condition before work begins.
 

5. Paint Correction & Ceramic Coating Results

Paint correction significantly improves appearance but does not guarantee 100% defect removal.

Ceramic coatings enhance protection and gloss but do not make vehicles scratch-proof or damage-proof.

Proper aftercare must be followed to maintain results.

Warranty terms (if provided) apply only when aftercare instructions are followed.
 

6. Mobile Service Requirements

For mobile appointments, the customer must provide:

  • Safe working space

  • Access to electricity (if required)

  • Access to water (if required)

  • Adequate space around the vehicle
     

We reserve the right to refuse service if conditions are unsafe or unsuitable.
 

7. Liability

While every care is taken, Grit2Gloss is not responsible for:

  • Mechanical failures

  • Electrical faults

  • Alarm malfunctions

  • Wear and tear items

  • Items left inside the vehicle
     

Customers are responsible for removing personal belongings before the appointment.

Our liability shall not exceed the total cost of the service provided.
 

8. Satisfaction & Concerns

Any concerns must be raised within 24 hours of service completion.

We will be given the opportunity to inspect and rectify any issues where appropriate.
 

9. Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or cancellations caused by circumstances beyond our control, including severe weather, illness, or vehicle access issues.
 

10. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
